To be a child again
To be a child again
To be a child again
To not have to worry
About the responsibilities of adulthood
What if I grow too old?
Where the skies are blue
Uh, I trashed a glass
And they looked at me like I was a mad animal
This big wheel brings its passengers high in the sky, escaping earthly reality for a couple of minutes. I loved this as a child. Ironically, I caught a fear of heights and now I am too afraid to escape on this big wheel. Is this what they call adulthood then?
My camera lens is my escape now, no need to conquer these heights, as when I am taking pictures, I can imagine being up there.

Elfie Deprez
Elfie Deprez is an autodidactic photographer driven by curiosity and the constant urge to grow. Photography is an escape to her. An escape from the monotony of everyday life and the harsh reality of the world we live in, dominated by a pandemic. She explores unknown, forgotten and abandoned places, characterized by solitude. With her pictures she wants to take the viewer with her in her escape, in her discoveries. She has a strong attraction for darkness, decay, brutalism, roughness, authenticity and imperfection putting this in contrast with light, vulnerability, softness and naivety.
